I couldn’t believe how much Cash has grown since I’ve photographed him last but he still has that gorgeous hair and beautiful eyes. We started his session inside but then we decided it would be more fun to be outside embracing the beauty of autumn. Cash loved it outside and had fun playing with the leaves, his tractor and playing a silly game with me. Thanks again Jodi for allowing me to photograph Cash!
What better time to take family and baby pictures outside then a colorful late afternoon in October. I was so happy to see the red and orange trees still had the leaves on them as they complimented the colors in this family’s clothes. Nolan was content to be posed in a tent, various baskets and even with a couple hats. He did so well as did big brother Jackson once he could have fun playing while getting his pictures taken.
Warm apple cider, cooler weather, beautiful foliage, Holiday Mart shopping in KC and of course THE BEST= family time with my son and his family. Every year during this time we do a family session and try to go somewhere new every year. This year we took a quick one with the 2 dogs at home before heading out to do the rest of the images in a beautiful location near Parkville.
I always tell parents that the 4 month old session is the hardest as baby can’t quite sit up yet and you usually need to be really close to get smiles and eye contact. While Olivia was very interested in the fall leaves and grass she did grace us with some adorable expressions and some smiles. Here are some of the images with her parents from her outdoor session.
Another little “J” baby, what a little blessing baby James is. I can see he is totally loved by his parents and big brothers already ( and of course his extended family ). It was such a pleasure to be able to photograph James as he is my great-nephew and to do in their home in Kansas City. James was a sleepy little guy once we got going with one time out to eat. Rachael and Reese wanted me to do some family images in B&W with a black backdrop to match the other boys newborn portraits. I hadn’t used black for newborns for awhile, I’d forgotten how striking it is to use! Thanks again Rachael and Reese for allowing me to photograph your growing family, I can’t wait to see James grow and mature.
